Boat Fishing
From time to time, I get asked about coaching on boat trips. The charges of this will vary depending on the circumstances of the trip. I have a great deal of experience in all forms of UK boat fishing, especially inshore boat fishing, but am equally at home on long haul trips. If you have your own boat, I can coach you on tackle, tactics and marks and will be able to do so much more cheaply than if we need to book on a commercial vessel. Basically, the best thing to do is to contact me via email, explain your circumstances and what you would like to achieve. I will then put together a quotation and itinerary and come back to you for discussion.

Boat Fishing
It's always nice to get in amongst bigger fish, such as these pollack which were just part of a mixed haul from a good day's boat fishing. I always carry a good stock of artificial lures - essential for targeting pollack - but can also arrange for natural baits such as live prawns to give you a chance of other species such as bass.
The Skerries are brilliant for plaice and ideal for light tackle fishing, which transforms the sport that you can enjoy from these tasty flatfish. I have devised a number of strategies which not only work extremely well but will also maximise your chances of encountering any other species that might be available at the time of your trip. If there are a few of you - enough to fill a boat - I can put together a day on the Skerries, providing light tackle and bait, where you can experience for yourself the thrills of this exciting style of angling.
